Into the afternoon we are going to see some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine with scattered showers heavy at times. Into the evening sunshine and cloud turning colder again with some sleet and snow showers moving across the Western Isles with a risk of frost and ice. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Winds will be from the West and North West later. Temps of 1C to 9C. Feeling colder in the wind chill down to -4C later this evening.
