Saturday’s forecast – Still on the cold side

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are seeing rain sleet and snow showers moving across the islands. In between some decent sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 4.4C

Overnight – We are going to see another cold night with a risk of some frost and ice once again. Rain and showers wintry at times with some sleet and snow which could result in some accumulations for a time. Overnight low of -2C. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday day – Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. A few scattered showers and these will be heavy and possibly wintry at times. Increasing sleet and snow showers again into the evening. Frost and ice once again in the late evening. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of -2C to 6C
