Weather Watch 17th April 2021

Good afternoon and welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Saturday afternoon we are seeing fine and dry weather. Sunshine and hazy cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Todays high of 10.5C so far.

Sunday – High pressure across most of the UK on Sunday. Weather fronts move across North West Scotland. We are going to see a cloud dominating day. Spells of rain and drizzle mainly light moving across the islands. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Easing under 20 mph into the evening. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 6C to 11C

Monday – High pressure dominates across the UK. Weather fronts sit out West of the UK. In the Western Isles we are going to see another mainly overcast day with spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds will be from the South and South East around 10 to 30 mph with some gusts reaching 40 mph. Temps of 4C to 10C

Tuesday – The weather fronts finally clear and high pressure builds across the UK. We are going to see a day of sunshine and cloud with a few scattered morning showers which will be heavy at times. Brisk winds but these are expected to ease as the day goes on. Winds will be from the North West around 10 to 30 mph and temps of 4C to 9C
