Weather Watch 27th April 2021

Welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. It is dry. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Todays high of 10.5C so far.

Wednesday – A slack pressure pattern for most of the UK. Low pressure for the Southern half of the UK which could bring some thundery showers. For us in the Western isles we are going to see a brisk North Easterly wind and a day of sunshine and cloud with occasional scattered showers. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph. Temps of 4C to 10C

Thursday – Again slack airflow across the UK. We are going to see a mainly fine and dry. The odd shower cannot be ruled out. But we are going to see some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds will be from the North East under 20 mph. Temps of 4C to 10C

Friday – That slack airflow continues across the UK with very little happening. For us in the Western Isles another day of sunshine and cloud. Winds will be from the North East around 10 to 30 mph. A slight risk of frost and ice in the morning. Temps of 3C to 10C
