The week ahead forecast – Cold and wintry with risk of snow showers

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It’s been a mixed weekend with showers and plenty of cloud. Feeling cool.

Tuesday – We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers across the Western Isles. These will be heavy at times. Feeling cold with a brisk North Easterly winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 2C to 9C

Wednesday – We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be wintry at times with sleet and snow showers even falling to lower levels. Feeling cold in the wind chill. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. A risk of frost and ice in the morning. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 10C

Thursday – Sunshine and showers. These wintry at times. Feeling cold with a risk of frost ice again in the morning. Winds will be around 20 to 40 mph coming from the North West. Temps of 2C to 8C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Friday – Another day of sunshine and showers. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds easing as the day goes on. Winds under 20 mph from the North and temps of 2C to 8C
Next weekend – Sunshine and showers. With brisk winds and staying on the colder side.
