Wednesday forecast – Cold!

Good evening Western Isles, On this Tuesday evening we are seeing rain sleet and hail showers moving across the islands. These heavy in places. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see a rain sleet and snow showers moving across the islands. We could see some snow falling over the higher ground for a time. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Some clear skies but plenty of clouds. Some frost and ice in sheltered spots.

Morning and afternoon – Further sunshine and wintry showers. These heavy at times and merging into some longer spells of rain at times. Hail and graupel mixed in. Some decent spells of sunshine where the cloud breaks. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Rain and showers once again and these will be heavy at times. Some sunshine at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 0C to 9C
