Saturday’s forecast – rain at times and blustery winds.

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud. A few scattered showers. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 9.0C

Overnight – We are going to see plenty of clear skies with some cloud. A few scattered showers. Temps across Lewis and Harris in places getting closer to freezing. Winds under 20 mph.

Morning – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers. Cloud increases as the morning goes on. Some rain moving into Uist and Barra later into the morning.

Afternoon and evening – Rain will move across the entire Western Isles. This will become heavy at times with blustery winds. The rain becomes lighter and slowly clears away by the late evening. Some sunny spells but the cloud mainly dominating. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. A few gusts could reach 50 mph for Barra.

Winds will be from the East and South East. Temps of 6C to 10C
