Weather Watch 17th May 2021

Welcome to Mondays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Monday evening we are seeing rain and showers across Lewis and Harris. Sunshine and cloud elsewhere. Winds under 10 mph and todays high of 11.1C so far.

Tuesday – Weather fronts sit across Northern Scotland. We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These most frequent across Lewis and Harris. Plenty of cloud but some sunshine in the breaks in the cloud. The best of the sunshine for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the West and shifting North East as the day goes on under 20 mph. Temps of 4C to 11C

Wednesday – Weather fronts sit across the UK and low pressure develops to the South West. It should be a mainly fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Winds will be from the North East around 10 to 20 mph. Temps of 5C to 11C

Thursday – Low pressure moves across the UK which will bring wet and windy weather. For us in the Western Isles we will see a dry start to the day but rain will move in later. Winds will be from the North East around 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 6C to 12C
