Welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds under 20 mph and todays high of 11.4C

Thursday – Low pressure moves across the UK. It will bring rain and strong winds across the country. Weather warnings have been issued ( more below). It will be an overcast day with brisk winds for us in the Western Isles. Rain and showers moving across Uist and Barra. Winds under 20 mph to start the day gusting 40 mph. Winds North East. Temps of 6C to 13C

Friday – Low pressure still sits across the UK bring further rain and showers. For us in the Western Isles we will see an overcast day with some rain and drizzle. Winds gusting 50 mph in the early morning. The rest of the day winds will gust 20 to 40 mph from the North East. Temps of 4C to 9C

Saturday – High pressure builds in as low pressure clears away. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a day of sunshine and cloud with some scattered showers. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West and temps of 4C to 10C
