Welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Thursday evening we are seeing sunshine and cloud. Best of the sunshine for Lewis and Harris with more cloud for Uist and Barra and light rain moving into Barra.

Friday – Weather fronts linger across Ireland with a weak low pressure system. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see some decent and prolonged sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. Some overnight mist and low cloud with some drizzle at times. Winds will be from the East and South East under 20 mph and temps of 9C to 16C

Saturday – High pressure across most of the UK with a weather front in the West. It will be another mild day across the Western Isles and we are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud. The best of the sunshine in the evening. Winds will be from the South and South West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 9C to 16C

Sunday – High pressure sits across most of the UK. Another day of sunshine and cloud across the UK with brisk winds coming up from the South and South East around 10 to 30 mph. Feeling mild again with a chance again of our warmest day of the year. Temps of 9C to 17C
