Welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Friday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Best of the sunshine across Lewis and harris. Fine and dry. Winds under 20 mph. Todays high of 14.7C so far.

Saturday – High pressure across the UK with a weak weather front across Scotland. We are going to see a fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine but plenty of cloud. Feeling warm again. Winds will be from the South and South West under 20 mph. Temps of 9C to 16C

Sunday – high pressure dominates the weather across the UK on Sunday. This looks set to be the warmest day of the year across the Western isles with wall to wall sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. It would be dry. Winds will be from the South and South West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 8C to 19C

Monday – High pressure in charge but a cold front lingers to the West of the UK. Another fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. The odd scattered shower and brisk winds. Winds of 20 to 30 mph from the South East. Temps of 8C to 18C
