Welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Wednesday evening we are seeing an overcast evening with some sunny spells. Some lingering light rain and drizzle but many places are dry now. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Todays high of 14.9C

Thursday – Low pressure sits to the North West of the UK. Weather fronts move across the UK. For us in the Western isles we are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Mainly overcast with some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph possibly gusting 50 mph for a time. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 11C to 16C

Friday – A cold front races across the UK with blustery winds. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud with brisk winds. Some morning rain and drizzle with some scattered showers. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 9C to 16C

Saturday – High pressure starts to build back across the UK. We are going to see an overcast day with some light rain and drizzle into the evening. Some sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the South West. Temps of 10C to 16C
