The week ahead forecast – Slow improving

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a wet Sunday with Saturday seeing some sunshine.

Tuesday – We are going to see a dry start with heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles later during the afternoon and evening. We are also going to see stronger winds gusting 30 to 45 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 7C to 14C

Wednesday – we are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud with brisk winds. Scattered showers which will be occasionally heavy. Some decent and prolonged sunshine in between. Winds will be from the South and South West around 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 9C to 16C

Thursday – A mainly fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Some early morning scattered showers. Winds will be from the South West but will shift as the day goes and move to come in from the North West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 8C to 15C

Friday – A fine and dry day across the Western Isles is expected with sunshine and cloud along with light winds under 10 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 8C to 15

Next weekend – Mainly fine and dry with overcast conditions and light winds.
