Weather Watch 24th July 2021

Welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Saturday evening we are seeing a fine and dry evening with plenty of sunshine but mist low cloud and fog persists in some coastal fringes. winds under 20 mph and todays high of 22.3C

The next 3 days

Sunday – High pressure remains in charge of our weather across most of the UK. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Even wall to wall sunshine for times. Some mist low cloud and fog once again this will linger for a time. Winds will be under 20 mph from the North and North West. Temps of 12C to 22C

Monday – Changes start to occur on Monday with low pressure in the North sea and weather fronts start moving in. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see more in the way of cloud. The cloud will thicken in for most of the day with some sunshine at times. Some patchy light rain and drizzle is possible at times. Winds will be from the North and North West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 12C to 20C

Tuesday – Low pressure dominates our weather across the UK. A cold fronts sits across the country with brisk winds. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see an overcast day with some light rain and scattered showers. It will feel cooler then we have seen of late. Winds will be from the North West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 10C to 16C
