The week ahead forecast – Rain returns as our good weather falls off a cliff

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a beautiful weekend with plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Warm with mist and fog.

Tuesday – We are going to see an overcast day once again. Some rain and scattered showers with some heavier rain moving in during the late afternoon and evening. Winds will be from the North and North West under 20 mph. Temps of 12C to 18C

Wednesday – We are going to see another cloud dominating day with spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some sunny spells but mostly cloud. The heaviest of the rain will be overnight into Wednesday. Winds under 20 mph from the North and North West. Temps of 11C to 17C

Thursday – A mainly overcast day with some sunny spells. Rain and showers, these heavy at times. Brisk winds from the North West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 12C to 17C

Friday -Another day of sunshine and showers with brisk winds. The showers heavy at times. Winds will be from the North and North West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 10C to 18C

Next weekend – Overcast cool and dull
