Wednesday’s forecast – Increasing rain and showers

Good evening Western isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing rain and scattered showers these heavy in places. Some decent spells of sunshine. Winds under 20 mph. Today’s high of 16.4C

Overnight – We are going to see a mainly overcast night with spells of rain and showers that will be heavy at times. Some clear spells in the breaks in the cloud. Winds of 10 to 25 mph

Morning and afternoon – We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times possibly thundery in nature. Not all will see the showers and will stay dry. Some decent and prolonged sunshine at times but still plenty of cloud. A few of the showers into the afternoon could merge into some longer spells of rain for a time. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening — Showers again with some sunny spells. These showers once again heavy. But becoming more confined to Lewis and Harris. Plenty of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 12C to 18C

Thursday – Brisk winds and showers.

Friday and Saturday – Rain and showers with lighter winds but on a positive note warmer….
