Thursdays forecast – Blustery winds with a risk of gales and showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mainly fine and dry end to the day with a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds under 20 mph after gusting 45 mph earlier today. Todays high of 16.9C

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. A few scattered showers which will be heavy at times. Winds under 20 mph.

Morning – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. A few scattered showers which again will be heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon and evening – Quite a bit of uncertainty as yet but rain and showers will move across the Western isles. Not all will see the showers and some places will stay dry with some decent and prolonged sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. In between the showers again some sunny spells. The showers could become thundery for a time with hail mixed in. These showers have a slight risk of becoming intense for a time. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with some gusts occasionally reaching 50 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 12C to 17C
