On this Thursday evening we are seeing rain and showers which are heavy in places. Overcast with some sunny spells and winds gusting 20 to 40 mph some gusts reaching 50 mph. Todays high of 16.2C

Friday – Low pressure sits close to the Western Isles on Friday with associated weather fronts across the UK. For us in the Western isles we are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times and a few of these will turn thundery. Some hail mixed in as well. In the morning the rain could merge into some longer spells of rain. In between some decent spells of sunshine. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with the risk of some gusts reaching 50 mph during the early hours of Friday morning. Winds will be from the South and South West and temps of 12C to 17C
Saturday – The low pressure system finally departs but the next area of low pressure builds to the South West as high pressure sits across the South East of England. For us in the Western isles we are going to see winds finally dropping. We are going to see some decent and prolonged sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. A few scattered showers which occasionally will be heavy. Winds gusting to 40 mph during the early hours of Saturday morning but as the day progresses easing under 20 mph. Winds will be from the North West and temps of 11C to 16C
Sunday – A low pressure system sits to the South West of the UK with associated fronts across the UK with a weather front moving down from the North of Scotland. For us in the Western Isles we are going to once again see a day of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers but most places are expected to stay dry. Winds will be from the West and North West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 8C to 16C with a slightly cooler start to the day.
