Welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news and events from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Best of the sunshine for South Uist and Barra. Some light rain but most its dry. Winds under 20 mph and todays high of 17.2C

Monday – High pressure dominates across the UK with a weather front across North East Scotland. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Feeling warm again. We are also going to see brisk winds which should keep the mist and fog at bay. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the North and North East. Temps of 12C to 17C

Tuesday – High pressure becomes stronger across the UK. For us in the Western Isles we are once again going to see a fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds will be mostly light under 20 mph but in the early hours for Uist and Barra gusting to 30 mph. Winds will be from the North East. Temps of 12C to 18C

Wednesday – High pressure remains firmly in charge across the UK. For us in the Western Isles it will be a fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Once again feeling warm. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds under 20 mph from the North and North East. Temps of 11C to 18C
