Good evening Western isles its been a while since we had any weather warnings. This is going tricky forecast so I will talk you across it. What we know and the possible impacts. When a thunderstorm warning is issued it’s always easy to think back to that day last June. That was a rare day and I am certainly not expecting tomorrow to be like that

On this Wednesday evening we are seeing rain and drizzle moving across the Western Isles and this heavy in places. Plenty of cloud, mist and fog with plenty of midges. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 19.1C

A Met Office yellow weather warning for Thunderstorms has been issued and comes into force at 10:00 Thursday morning and expires at 20:00 Thursday evening. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has also issued a flood alert for the Western Isles full details can be found via the SEPA website.
