Thursday’s forecast – Rain moving in and winds increasing

Good evening Western isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing an overcast evening with some rain and scattered showers which are heavy in places. Some mist and fog. Winds under 20 mph.

Overnight – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some scattered showers but for most, it should be fine and dry. Some mist and fog patches. Winds under 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Largely cloud dominating with some sunny spells. Light rain and drizzle. Some mist and fog patches but this should clear as the day goes on. Heavier rain will arrive for Barra and South Uist by late afternoon. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Overcast with rain. This rain will be heavy at times. Some drizzle at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 8C to 16C
