Friday’s forecast – Showery and windy

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing winds gusting 20 to 40 mph strongest for Uist and Barra. Rain and drizzle moving across the islands. Plenty of cloud with some clear spells. Today’s high of 15.8C

Overnight – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Plenty of cloud with some clear skies. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Some gusts reaching 50 mph for Uist and Barra.

Morning – Rain which will be heavy at times but will gradually clear away as the morning goes on. But some rain lingering into the afternoon. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon and evening – Plenty of cloud but increasing amounts of sunshine. The heaviest of the rain is expected to clear away. Some light rain and drizzle. Winds under 20 mph but still some gusts reaching 40 mph for Uist and Barra.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 10C to 16C
