On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing sunshine and cloud with some sharp heavy showers around. Winds under 20 mph and todays high so far of 15.1C

Monday – Low pressure sits over Iceland and high pressure across South West of the UK with weather front moving in from the West. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see overcast day with some sunny spells. Rain and scattered showers but for most it will stay dry. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the South and South West. Temps of 8C to 16C

Tuesday – Isobars tighten as low pressure sits between us and Iceland and high pressure over the South. Lots of uncertainty at this stage as to how strong the winds will be over Scotland. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see an overcast day with spells of rain and scattered showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting at times to 50 to 55 mph winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 11C to 15C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Wednesday – High pressure declines away and weather fronts move across the UK with a strong airflow moving for all aparts. For us in the Western isles we are going to see sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times. Possibly thundery at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to possibly 60 mph during the early hours. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 7C to 15C
