On this Thursday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the islands. Heavy in places. Winds have eased under 20 mph after gusting 50 mph. Todays high of 13.9C

Friday – Low pressure dominates the weather across the UK. For us in the Western isles we are going to see a day of showers and at times longer spells of rain with some sunny spells. The rain will be persistent at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to possibly 60 mph for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 9C to 13C but feeling cooler in the wind chill.
Saturday – Low pressure sits between the UK and Iceland with a forming area of low pressure in the channel. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph but easing as we go into the evening. Winds will be from the South and South West but shifting to come in from the South East later. Temps of 8C to 12C
Sunday – Low pressure sits to the North of the UK. For us in the Western Isles it will be another day of sunshine and showers these will be heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the West and North West. Temps of 7C to 13C
