Weather Watch 7th October 2021

Welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news and events from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Thursday afternoon we are seeing rain and scattered showers but its becoming drier. Some light rain and drizzle with plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph and todays high of 15.3C so far.

Friday – Weather front still linger in the West and a weakening cold front moves into the South East. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see overcast conditions with some rain and showers heavy at times. Mist low cloud and fog patches with drizzle at times in the afternoon and evening. Winds of 10 t0 to 25 mph from the South East and South West. Temps of 12C to 16C

Saturday – Weather fronts linger across the West and High pressure to the South East. Overnight we are going to see heavy rain moving across the Western Isles. Gradually easing to rain and showers during the morning and clearing for most for the afternoon. Staying overcast with some drizzle at times. Some sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 25 mph from the South West. Temps of 10C to 16C

Sunday – Low pressure across the far North and High pressure builds to the South. For us in the Western isles we are going to see rain and showers these will be heavy at times. Some sunny spells with plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 8C to 13C
