Welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news and events from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Friday evening we are seeing an overcast evening with some rain and showers these heavy at times. Winds under 20 mph and todays high of 9.3C

Saturday – high pressure across over large part of the UK with weather fronts moving in from the West. For us in the Western an overcast night and into the morning overcast with some rain and drizzle. Rain becoming heavier at times will spread in from the West later. Winds of 10 to 30 mph strengthening later from the South and South East. Temps of 8C to 12C

Sunday – Low pressure dominates on Sunday. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see a cloud dominating day with spells of rain at times which will be heavy. Some sunny spells. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from the East and South East. Temps of 7C to 13C

Monday – A messy pattern come Monday with weather fronts and areas of low pressure moving past the UK. For us in the Western Isles it will be yet another overcast day with spells of rain and showers. These heavy at times. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph from the South and South East. Temps of 9C to 14C
