Welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news and events from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Wednesday afternoon, we are seeing sunshine and cloud with a few mainly light showers. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 13.5C

Thursday – low pressure sits to the West and weather fronts move across the UK. For us in the Western Isles, we are going to see a day of sunshine and showers merging into some longer spells of rain at times. Some decent spells of sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the South and South West. Temps of 8C to 13C

Friday – Low pressure across the UK. For us in the Western Isles, we are going to see overnight rain move across the Western isles. into Friday sunshine and showers. Heavy at times. Winds will be from the South and South West around 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 7C to 12c

Saturday – A slack pattern with weather fronts lingering across the UK. We are once again going to see a day of sunshine and showers. Plenty of cloud. Drier start to the day but showers increasing later. Winds lighter under 20 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 11C
