Monday’s forecast – Heck aye more rain

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing heavy and persistent rain across most of the Western Isles. Drier for South Uist and Barra. Winds gusting 40 to 45 mph. Today’s high of 9.9C

A reminder we are under a Met Office yellow weather warning for rain until 12:00 Monday afternoon. We are also under a Scottish Environment Protection Agency flood alert. Full details can be found via the SEPA website and the Met Office website or app.

Overnight – Further spells of rain heavy at times. Plenty of cloud. Rain clearing for Uist and Barra. winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph during the early hours.

Morning – Further heavy rain gradually becoming lighter for Lewis and Harris. Rain and showers for Uist and Barra. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon and evening – Rain and showers again heavy at times. Becoming more scattered as the evening progresses. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 7C to 10C but feeling much colder in the wind chill.
