On this Sunday afternoon, we are seeing heavy rain moving across the bulk of the Western isles persistent in places. Drier for Barra and South Uist. Winds gusting 45 mph and today’s high of 9.9C

Monday – Low pressure dominates across the UK. For us in the Western Isles further spells of rain heavy at times. Persistent in places but easing later. Overcast drier later in the day. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph in the early hours. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 7C to 10C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Tuesday – High pressure across the UK. For us in the Western Isles a day of sunshine and cloud with scattered showers. These heavy at times. Winds will be from the North West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 5C to 10C feeling colder in the wind chill.
Wednesday – A colder airflow across the UK. High pressure to the far West and Subtropical storm Wanda way out mid Atlantic. For us in the Western isles, it will be a colder day with sunshine and a few scattered occasionally heavy showers. Plenty of cloud. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 4C to 9C
