Weather Watch 2nd November 2021

Welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the next 3 days in depth for the Western Isles as well as covering the latest weather news and events from the UK and around the Globe.

On this Tuesday afternoon, we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western Isles these are heavy in places. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 9.9c so far.

Wednesday – High pressure to the West and Low pressure to the East and colder airflow with a Pembrokshire dangler more on this below. For us in the Western Isles, we are going to see an overcast day with some sunny spells. Scattered showers these will be occasionally heavy. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 4C to 10C a risk of evening frost and ice.

Thursday – high pressure builds in further and weather fronts slide across Northern Scotland. Tropical storm Wanda sits out mid Atlantic. For us in the Western Isles, we are likely to see some morning frost and ice in places. Another overcast day with some light rain and drizzle. Some sunny spells but mostly overcast winds of 10 to 30 mph from the West and North West. Temps of 3C to 11C

Friday – High pressure sits across most of the UK but weather fronts sit close to the North of Scotland. For us we are going to see more of the same with an overcast day. Some sunny spells. Occasional spells of light rain and drizzle. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the West and North West. Temps of 8C to 13C
