On this Thursday evening, we are seeing rain move across the Western Isles and this is heavy in places. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 10.8C so far.

Friday – Low pressure sits across North West Scotland. It will bring spells of rain and blustery winds to start to the day for us in the Western Isles. The rain will be heavy at times. The rain will linger on into the morning but once it clears for the afternoon and evening it should be fine and dry with clear skies and cloud with some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph during the early hours of the morning. Winds will be from the South East but shifting North West for tomorrow. Temps of 7C to 12C
Saturday – A ridge of high pressure builds in with low to the West and East of us. For us in the Western Isles we are expecting to see a fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud along with light winds. Winds under 20 mph from variable directions. Temps of 8C to 12C
Sunday – High pressure over Scandinavia and a cold front moves across the UK from the West. For us in the Western isles we are going to see an overcast day with spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with some gusts reaching 50 mph at times. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 7C to 13C
