Thursday’s forecast – If I had a pound for every time I wrote the word rain, I would be very rich.

Good evening Western isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing rain and drizzle moving across most of the Western Isles drier for most of the Uist and Barra. Mist and low cloud. Winds gusting 40 mph. Today’s high of 11.8C

Overnight – Plenty of cloud with some clear spells. Light rain and drizzle occasionally heavy. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Gustin 50 mph.

Morning and afternoon – More of the same with plenty of cloud. Some rain and drizzle. occasionally heavy but plenty of dry conditions. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Evening – Mostly overcast with some rain and drizzle but for most, it will be dry. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to possibly 60 mph in some exposed spots.

Winds will be from the South and South West and temps of 10 to 12C
