Wednesday’s forecast – Squally showers

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western Isles with a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 10C

Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain heavy at times with showers. Clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Frequent squally showers. These wintry at times and possibly thundery. In between some decent spells of sunshine. Quite a few breaks in the cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – Again further squally showers and these heavy and wintry at times. Clear skies in the breaks. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 8C

Thursday – overcast showers with stronger winds later heavy rain into the evening.

Friday – Lots of uncertainty with gales possibly severe gales winds gusting 50 to 60 mph widely at times reaching 70 mph. Depends very much on the track of the low. hopefully have a firmer idea in 24 hours.

Saturday – Cold with wintry showers and gales. Chilly wind chill. Sleet and snowers showers
