Friday’s forecast – Storm Arwen

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western isles. Plenty of cloud. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and today’s high so far of 8.9C

Overnight – A mixture of clear skies and cloud with rain and showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Rain and showers will move across the islands. These will be heavy at times. Winds will strengthen as the day goes on. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 65 mph.

Evening – Further strong winds with rain and showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph in some exposed coastal possible 70 mph.

Winds will be from the North West to the North East. Temps of 3C to 10C but feeling more like -3/4C at times in the wind chill.
