On this Wednesday morning we are seeing showers moving across the Western isles some of these falling as sleet. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds gusting 40 mph and overnight low of 6C

Today – Some decent and at times prolonged sunshine for a time today. Plenty of cloud which will increase at times. Some squally showers which will turn increasingly wintry later. Risk of frost and ice this evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with some gusts reaching 50 mph. Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of -1C to 6C

Thursday – on the colder side again with Wintry showers.

Friday – Brisk winds and showers.

Saturday – Drier and brighter.
