Tuesday forecast – Last wild day for a while

Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western Isles these are heavy but well scattered. Winds gusting 10 to 40 mph strongest across Uist and Barra. Temps of 11.4C

Overnight – A dry start but rain will move across the Western isles this will become heavy at times winds will increase. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph in some spots reaching 60 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Rounds of rain will move across the islands. This will be heavy and persistent at times. The cloud will dominate. Some drizzle at times. There will be a few breaks in the rain. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Evening – Further rounds of rain will move across the Western Isles this will be heavy and at times persistent becoming slow to clear in places. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 8C to 11C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Saturday – Light winds sunshine and cloud dry. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 5C to 9C
