Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some mist and fog in places. Winds under 20 mph and today high of 7.9C

Overnight – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Increasing mist and fog will move across the islands. Should be mainly dry. A risk of frost and ice as temps drop close to or below freezing. WInds under 20 mph.

Morning – Foggy start in patches. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some decent spells of sunshine where the cloud breaks. Winds under 20 mph.

Afternoon – For most mist and fog will clear. A few places it will linger. Sunshine and cloud. Winds under 20 mph.

Evening – Clear skies and cloud. Cloud increases from the North and some light rain and drizzle for Lewis. Winds under 20 mph.

Winds will be from variable directions and temps of 2C to 7C

Tuesday – Another overcast day with spells of light rain and drizzle. Winds under 20 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 2C to 8C

Wednesday – A mostly overcast day with some rain and drizzle. heavier rain will move in later in the day . Winds of 10 to 20 mph some gusts reaching 30 mph. Temps of 4C to 7C

Thursday – A fairly overcast day with spells of rain and drizzle. Winds increasing gusting 20 to 40 mph from the East. Temps of 4C to 8C

Christmas Eve – Turning colder with further spells of rain turning wintry into the evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the East and North East. Temps of 2C to 8C

Next weekend – Turning with wintry showers. Sunny spells and brisk winds.
