Christmas Weekend forecast – Mostly fine

Good morning Western Isles and welcome to your Christmas weekend forecast. Using Calmacs wifi to get this forecast out to you.

On this Christmas Eve, we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 7C so far.

Today – The rest of the day should be fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Under clearing skies, we could see a touch of frost and in spots. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the South East. Temps of 3C to 7C

Christmas Day – It should be a fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. The odd shower pushing into Barra cannot be ruled out. A chance of some overnight frost and ice but this should be mainly confined to sheltered areas. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph at times from the East. Temps of 1C to 5C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Boxing Day – More in the way of cloud for Boxing day. Some scattered occasionally heavy showers as well. Some sunny spells but the cloud is expected to dominate. winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph from the East. Temps of 3C to 6C
