2021 Weather Stats for the Western Isles.

Here are some of the weather stats for 2021 for the two Met Office sites in Stornoway and South Uist

Temperature

Stornoway – Highest temp of 21.7C in May, Lowest of -3.6C in April and 26 days of Air Forst

South Uist – highest temp of 23.7C in July and lowest of -3.4C and 19 days of Air Frost.

Rainfall

Stornoway had roughly the LTA for rainfall with 187 wet days. The Wettest month was October with 216 mm of rain and driest with 25.4 in June

South Uist was under the LTA for rainfall with 183 wet days. The Wettest month was October with 184.6 mm of rain and driest with 25.4 in April

Sunshine

Sunshine was below the LTA for Stornoway. It was a fairly dull year. The sunniest month was April with 202.2 hours of sunshine. December the least sunny with 15.4 hours of sunshine.
