On this Monday morning, we are seeing rain sleet and snow moving across the Western Isles. Drier for now for Uist and Barra. Winds gusting 40 mph and an overnight low of 3.5C

Today – The band of rain, sleet and snow slowly clears away with a day of sunshine and cloud. Further wintry showers throughout the day fairly well scattered. Falling as sleet and snow at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the North and North West. Temps of 1C to 6C frost and ice in the morning sheltered spots.

Tuesday – Squally showers and sleet and snow showers at times. Winds gusting 20 to 50 mph.

Wednesday – A cold day with sunshine and cloud. Winds lighter. Showers at times. Winds under 20 mph.

Thursday – Strong winds and spells of heavy and persistent rain.
