A reminder we have a Met Office yellow weather warning for wind in force for Lewis from 10:00 Tuesday morning and expires at 23:59 Tuesday evening. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued a flood warning for Stornoway and Stornoway Aiport and a flood alert for the entire Western Isles.
Overnight – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Frequent squally wintry showers which will result in temporary accumulations at times. With some sleet snow and hail. Snow over higher ground is likely. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Sleet, snow and rain showers will move across the Western Isles. These could be thundery at times. Some temporary accumulations at times of hail and snow. A few sunny spells in the breaks in the cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph possibly 70 mph in some exposed coastal locations.
Evening – Further squally showers these heavy. Plenty of cloud. Some clear spells. Risk of frost and ice in sheltered spots. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.
Winds will be from the North West. Temps of -1C to 5C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Saturday – Heavy rain and winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Temps of 2C to 9C
