Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing

On this Friday morning, we are seeing rain, sleet and snow moving across the Western Isles which is resulting in accumulations in places. Winds under 20 mph and an overnight low of 1.7C

A reminder a Met Office yellow water warning for snow and ice comes into force at 20:00 on Thursday evening and expires at 12:00 Friday afternoon. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Today – Rain, sleet and snow showers will feed across the Western Isles this morning and into the early afternoon but will slowly clear away as the day progresses. Sunshine and cloud. Then clear skies after sunset with frost and ice. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the North West. Temps of -1C to 7C

Saturday – Rain and showers with winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Becoming milder. Heaviest rain in the early hours.

Sunday – Lighter winds with sunshine and cloud.

Monday – Strong winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and heavy rain.
