Mondays and week ahead forecast – Still plenty of high pressure

Good afternoon Western Isles an early one from me but here is your week ahead forecast.

Overnight – A cloud dominating night with some light rain and drizzle. A few clear skies. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – We are going to see sunshine and cloud. Some decent spells of sunshine at times but still plenty of cloud. Should be mainly dry but the odd spell of light rain is impossible. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Mostly dry but some light rain is possible at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 4C to 9C

Week ahead

Tuesday – An overcast day with rain spreading in later in the day. Heavy at times Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph for a time in the early evening. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 6C to 9C

Wednesday – Heavy overnight rain brisk winds gusting 40 mph. Turning colder into the evening with a few wintry showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 10C

Thursday – High pressure builds back in. A fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. A chilly start to the day. Temps of 2C to 11C. Winds from the North and North West.

Friday – An overcast day with some light rain and drizzle. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the North West. Temps of 5C to 9C

Next Weekend – Brisk winds overcast and staying mild
