Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing rain across large parts of the Western Isles. The cloud is dominating. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and today’s high of 9.5C so far.

Overnight – Clear skies and cloud with further spells of rain and drizzle. Heavy at times. Winds slowly easing around 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Again the cloud will dominate with spells of rain and drizzle. Some sunny spells at times. Winds under 20 mph.

Evening – Clear skies and cloud. Some rain and drizzle but becoming drier and brighter. Winds under 20 mph

Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of 4C to 10C

Tuesday – Brisk winds sunshine and showers from the South West around 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 6C to 9C

Wednesday – Rain and showers gusting 40 to 50 mph possibly gusting 60 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 6C to 11C

Thursday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds from the North West around 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 5C to 9C

Friday – Drier brighter overcast with brisk winds. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the South West. Temps of 6C to 10C

Next weekend – Strong winds and showers gusting 50 to 60 mph.
