On this Friday morning, we are seeing frequent rain, sleet and snow showers moving across the islands. We are seeing places with snow on the ground. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and an overnight low of 1.4C
A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for parts of Lewis and Harris from 15:00 Friday evening until 23:59 this Friday evening

Today – Frequent sleet and snow showers will move across the islands. These will be heavy and at times thundery. Some rain at times. Some sunny spells with plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 2C to 6C
Saturday and Sunday – Further spells of rain and wintry showers with some sleet and snow. Heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to possibly 60 mph at times.
Monday – Winds easing for a time in the morning. Winds increasing later in the day once again gusting 50 to 60 mph with further showers.
