Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing,

On this Tuesday morning, we are seeing wintry showers moving across the islands. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and an overnight low of 3C

Today – Further squally wintry showers moving across the islands with rain sleet and snow mixed in. Some of the showers could be thundery at times. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells in between the showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to possibly 60 mph in some exposed spots. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 2C to 7C

Wednesday – Further wintry sleet and snow showers these heavy at times. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Thursday – A cold day as winds ease with a risk of frost and ice. Further rain sleet and snow showers.

Friday – turning milder with brisk winds sunshine and cloud with further spells of rain.
