Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing rain and showers sweeping across the islands. Some of these are wintry at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 8.5C

Overnight – Clear skies and cloud. Some squally showers that will be wintry at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Further squally showers heavy at times. Some sunny spells. At times some of the showers will be wintry. Decent spells of sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Clear skies and cloud. Cloud increases at times. Scattered squally showers. Winds under 20 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 4C to 9C

Outlook

Monday – Blustery winds and scattered showers. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from variable directions. Temps of 1C to 7C risk of evening frost and ice in places.

Tuesday – Overnight heavy rain clears away to sunshine and cloud. Winds gusting 40 mph from the South West easing later. Temps of 1C to 8C

Wednesday and Thursday – Gales and possibly severe gales on Wednesday gusting 60 to 75 mph. Rain and showers from the West and South West. Temps of 2C to 11C
