Tiree Weather forecast for the 14th February 2022

Good evening Tiree on this Sunday evening we are seeing an overcast evening with some light rain. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 7.6C

Today’s forecast was a challenge as the band of rain further South moved further North than was expected. Definitely a few challenges with forecasting for a smaller island.

A reminder a Met Office yellow weather warning for wind has been for Tiree from 18:00 on Wednesday until 18:00 Thursday. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Monday – Overnight clear skies and cloud with scattered showers heavy at times. Morning and afternoon some decent and prolonged sunshine at times but still plenty of cloud. A few scattered showers at times. Evening will be drier w. the clear skies and cloud. Temps will drop close to freezing. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 7C

Outlook

Tuesday – Overnight heavy rain then sunshine and showers for Tuesday day. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the West and South West. Temps of 6C to 8C

Wednesday and Thursday – Spells of rain heavy at timers with gales and severe gales gusting 60 to 70 mph possibly 80 mph during Thursday morning. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 5C to 10C
