Tiree Weather forecast for the 16th February 2022

Good evening Tiree on this Tuesday evening we are seeing rain and drizzle moving across the island. Winds under 20 mph and an overnight low of 7.1C

The Met Office today updated the weather warnings an Amber warning for strong winds for Tiree on from 16:00 Wednesday afternoon until 23:59 Evening morning with a yellow weather warning for strong winds coming into force at 15:00 Wednesday afternoon and expiring at 06:00 Thursday morning the full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Wednesday – Overnight heavy rain will move across the island with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Dry for a time in the morning before further rain and showers will feed across the islands. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. The afternoon and early evening will see a brief spell of strong winds. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph with some gusts reaching 70 to possibly 75 mph between roughly 15:00 and 18:00. Easing by the end of the evening under 40 mph. Further spells of rain heavy at times. Winds will be from the West and North West. Temps of 3C to 9C

Outlook

Thursday – Blustery winds gusting 40 to 50 mph from the North West with rain and showers.

Friday and Saturday – Brisk winds and showers some of these wintry at times.
