Tiree Weather forecast for the 17th February 2022

Good evening Tiree on this Wednesday evening we are seeing winds gusting 50 to 60 mph. Not as strong as first feared as the low pressure moved further South. A few scattered showers. Overcast and today’s high of 10C

A reminder a Met Office Amber warning for wind until 23:59 this evening for Tiree and the yellow warning remains in place until 06:00 Thursday morning. A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued as well coming into force at 23:00 and expiring at 10:00 Thursday morning. Thursday – Overnight rain and showers winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Into Thursday morning sunshine and cloud. Showers again heavy and at times wintry. Afternoon and evening the showers becoming more scattered. Plenty of sunshine and variable amounts of cloud which will increase in at times. Showers again will be wintry at times. Winds gusrting 40 mph but easing under 20 mph to end the day. Winds will be from the West and North West. Temps of 2C to 7C

Outlook

Friday – Some wintry showers and plenty of rain. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph winds from the North West. Temps of 1C to 7C

Saturday – Sunshine and scattered showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. from the North and North West. Temps of 1C to 6C

Sunday – Heavy overnight rain then showers. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph into the evening 60 to 70 mph. Winds from the West and temps of 6C to 10C
